As most of the bloodites, I pass thousand of hours in front of the wonderful build engine games, which its maximum exponent is without any doubt Blood, not only by its advanced technical improvements over the Ken Silverman´s engine but also by the unique atmosphere that impregnates every aspect of the game. But sadly, Blood was not sell so good in spite of its great quality. After a while, Blood 2 came out in a 3D engine with many bugs, and the sells was more poor, so the franchise -by the moment- was stopped. This is something that I´ll talk about in the future.
Blood 2 had many problems and wrong decisions, but also there was parts that was awesome, starting from the intro. I loved the story of Caleb living through all those years without die, and still fighting the Cabal. Also the OST and many ideas of the sequel was amazing, not arriving to the original but still interesting.
Due how bad Blood 2 has olded, and how amazing still the original Blood, I was having the idea of an addon for Blood, remaking the Blood 2 game into Blood engine, as a total conversion.
So basicly that´s how it born the idea of Blood 2 Classic.
From now on I will be posting different sprites, levels and stuff related with this project, that I will love to work on, bringing the best of the atmosphere and story of Blood 2 and still keeping the best of the best that is Blood 1.
